What should you know? The Lord of Justice is one of the most important patrons and custodians of the city, the devotion was born in the old Riobamba and has been in the current one for more than 100 years, after his resettlement. Every day thousands of Riobambeños come to the small Oratory, where the Divine Image of the Lord of Justice is venerated. But there is a God who sees everything and judges everything The easiest way to identify a true Riobambeño is to observe him when he crosses Juan Larrea de la Sultana de los Andes street. It doesn't matter at what street level, the truth is that, when crossing the Larrea, a Riobambeño will inevitably cross himself. And it is that in Larrea is located the Oratory of the Lord of Justice, one of the patron saints most revered by the Riobambeños. This is the faith of the "arena pupos", who come to this small and modest oratory to ask Jesus to do them justice. They say that he is infallible because, after all, he sees everything and judges everything.

Locomotive 15

The life of Jorge Benavides was marked by the railroad, he worked for the company for many years and from various functions, in one of the many administrative assignments he managed to get one of the representative machines brought to Riobamba. Riobamba, railway city from there machine 15 is the reference of those stories of rails and brequeros. For Jorge it is not just another place, it is the symbol of his life of honest and responsible work, the years go by and he is still the one who takes care of the old locomotive, despite the passing of the years he is aware of this tourist reference in the city, he lives a few meters away and he is the neighbor who takes care of and cleans the sidewalk of the house as much as this space that fills him with nostalgia. Like him - in Riobamba - there are still lifelong railway workers, who recall the splendor of the railway, the freight train and first class, the railroad car or the cabbage train that went to the coast, the dispatching of the railways, the brequeros and machinists with the lamps and the instructions In the previous century, Riobamba marked its day to day, with the arrival of the "Mixto" or the "Train", raising your hand and greeting those who arrived, was part of the tradition, the railway station, in the center of the city , summoned the joy of the reunion between friends and family or the nostalgia of the game, as well as the economic development for the commerce that moved by train, were other times other references that remain in the memory in the midst of children playing at being drivers and balancing on the rails that shone! Unfortunately, the railway capital of Ecuador does not have a direct route to Alausí and the Devil's Nose, a symbol of the railway work of the great work of Eloy Alfaro, tourists stay for a short time and the party at the station gradually fades away.
