April 21 Park

In the Battle of Riobamba a victory was achieved that began to light the flame of the Independence of Ecuador. Recalling the memories of the Battle of Riobamba in 1822, it is said that this cavalry encounter began right in the streets of the south of the city where patriots and royalists clashed. After an arduous battle, the tremendous insult culminated in the plains of Tapi. Upon his triumphant return, Marshal Antonio José de Sucre climbed to the highest point in the city where he proclaimed the phrase that would motivate his entire patriotic army: "From this hill, to Quito..." Raul Davalos Bullring

The Raúl Dávalos bullring is one of the oldest buildings in Ecuador, where bullfighting events, social and cultural acts are held. The Monumental Plaza de Toros Raúl Dávalos is considered one of the oldest in Ecuador, it has a capacity for 13,000 people. In addition to bullfighting events, artistic musical shows, social and cultural events are held there. Its biggest shows are held in the April and November festivities. Inaugurated in 1952 by Morenito de Valencia and Lorenzo Pascual Belmonteño. Designed and built with wooden bleachers and a useful cover on the stands, the square housed 5,000 fans in its first stage. Mural of Narea

The large-scale Nationality Mural, painted in Narea, speaks of our nationality, from its origins to the present time. What should you know? Saint Anthony of Padua Church
